Grand Slam; perpetual challenge trophy awarded to any team in the SIX-NATIONS TOURNAMENT that beats all the other teams during one year's competition (since at least 1957, possibly 1927)
Freedom Cup; perpetual trophy specific to the TRI-NATIONS TOURNAMENT, the award is contested annually between SOUTH AFRICA and NEW ZEALAND (since 2004). All matches played during the tournament between the two nations count towards the award.

Millennium Trophy; trophy awarded to the winner of IRELAND and ENGLAND's annual match-up in the SIX NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP (since 1989)
Prince William Cup; awarded to winners of matches between WALES and SOUTH AFRICA (name is unpopular)
Puma Trophy; a perpetual trophy between AUSTRALIA and ARGENTINA since 2000
Raeburn Shield: a hypothetical trophy awarded match by match, theoretically available to be won by any international team
Sukuna Bowl; an annual rugby union fixture that takes place in Suva, Fiji. The game is usually played at the Post Fiji Stadium. The Sukuna Bowl is contested between the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Military Force.
Tom Richards Trophy; perpetual trophy awarded to the winner of the BRITISH and IRISH LIONS (touring representative side) vs AUSTRALIA in test matches since 2001 (the matches having taken place since 1899)
Triple Crown Trophy; awarded during the Six Nations competition only if ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, IRELAND or WALES wins all of their games against the other three

Fred Allen Trophy; challenge trophy contested in AUCKLAND RFU (NZ) similar to the Ranfurly Shield for NZRFU (can only be challenged at holder's home games during regular season).
Gallaher Shield; first tier trophy for winner of the premeir competition Championship Round (season finals) in AUCKLAND RFU (NZ)
Hanan Shield; challenge system trophy for competitions between NORTH OTAGO, SOUTH CANTERBURY and MID CANTERBURY (all NZ teams) since 1946
Ranfurly Shield; challenge system trophy in NEW ZEALANDS domestic rugby competitions since 1904; currently held by CANTERBURY, any rugby team in NEW ZEALAND can win the shield
Seddon Shield; a challenge shield for representative teams in the top half of the south island of NEW ZEALAND. BULLER union along with the NELSON BAYS and MARLBOROUGH Sub-Unions of the TASMAN union and WEST COAST union currently compete for the shield

Pub Charity Sevens; (or New Zealand National Rugby Sevens Tournament); a domestic annual sevens tournament for the NZRFU's 16 best teams (since 1975).  Played in Queenstown, NEW ZEALAND.
RFU Championship; second tier of the English domestic rugby competition structure after the Aviva Premiership.  Previously known as National Division One, the RFU Championship is a fully professional league of 12 teams relegating the bottom team to the National League 1 and promoting the tope team to the Aviva Premiership.
Rugby Pro D2; second level domestic club rugby competition in FRANCE with 16 teams included.  Promotion to and relegation from the TOP 14 exists as well as promotion from and relegation to FEDERALE 1 (since 2000)
Rugby Super League; UNITED STATES domestic rugby competition featuring the top eligible club teams in the nation who are financially and numerically able to support a RSL side

Swindale Shield; intra-union competition award within WELLINGTON union (NEW ZEALAND)
Top 14; domestic rugby club premier competition in FRANCE (since 1892).  Promotion from and relegation to the Rugby Pro D2 division exists.

Punjas Rugby Series; an annual rugby competition between Pacifc A sides from FIJI, TONGA and SAMOA, began in 2010 with just FIJI and TONGA

Ranfurly Shield; challenge system trophy in NEW ZEALANDS domestic rugby competitions since 1904; currently held by CANTERBURY, any rugby team in NEW ZEALAND can win the shield
RFU Championship; second tier of the English domestic rugby competition structure after the Aviva Premiership.  Previously known as National Division One, the RFU Championship is a fully professional league of 12 teams relegating the bottom team to the National League 1 and promoting the tope team to the Aviva Premiership.

Scottish Hydro Electric National Leagues Competition; an amateur domestic competition of 36 clubs. Relegation exists between divisions with the National leagues  with relegation to and promotion from regional leagues.  (since 1973)

The Six Nations Championship (or RBS 6 Nations); an annual international rugby union competion between national sides from ENGLAND, IRELAND, WALES, SCOTLAND, FRANCE and ITALY (since 1883).  The winners of this tournament are the European Champions.
The Skilball Trophy; one time trophy awarded in fund-raising matches for the rebuilding of Romania after the overthow of Nicolae Ceausescu in 1989.  The matches were between "The Four Home Unions" vs "Rest of Europe XV"
South American Rugby Championship; annual two-tiered rugby tournament featuring URUGUAY, COLOMBIA, VENEZUELA, PERU, BRAZIL PARAGUAY, COSTA RICA, CHILE, ARGENTINA (OPEN TO ALL S. AMERICAN RUGBY UNIONS)
Sukuna Bowl; an annual rugby union fixture that takes place in Suva, Fiji. The game is usually played at the Post Fiji Stadium. The Sukuna Bowl is contested between the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Military Force.
